Starlight Princess 1000 is Pragmatic Play's remake of the original Starlight Princess slot. It uses a scatter pays system on a 6-reel, 5-row panel: 8 or more identical symbols anywhere on the board pay, winning symbols tumble away, and multiplier symbols worth between 2x and 1,000x can land on any spin. The provider's game page gives an RTP of 96.50%, the volatility is high and the maximum win is 15,000x the bet.
If you have played the first game, very little will surprise you. The remake changes two ceilings - the largest multiplier symbol and the win cap - and leaves the way the game is played alone. Below: the figures in one place, the mechanics in plain English, and the free way to see it all in motion.
The published figures
These figures come from the provider's own page and from a published review of this title. We found that some operator and affiliate pages describe this game with paylines, wild symbols and jackpots it does not have, so we have used nothing from them.

Playing the base game
A win is paid when 8 or more identical symbols land on the board, wherever they sit. There are no lines to trace and no left-to-right rule. The low pays are 5 gemstones; the high pays are a star, a moon, a heart and sun-inscribed objects. The Starlight Princess herself appears as the Scatter and pays on any position.
After each win the tumble feature takes over: winning combinations are removed, the remaining symbols fall to the bottom and all empty positions are filled from above. There is no limit to the number of consecutive tumbles, so a single stake can be followed by a chain of results. The chain ends when the board shows no new win.
Multiplier symbols, from 2x to 1,000x
Multiplier symbols between 2x and 1,000x can land on any spin. They do nothing on their own: when a tumbling sequence ends, the values of all multipliers on the screen are added up and applied to the total win. A multiplier that arrives on a spin with no win is simply lost.
This is where the remake differs from its parent. The top multiplier symbol is now x1,000, against x500 in the original game. Large values are rare by design, and the high volatility rating is the honest summary of that: most of the long-run return sits in a small number of spins.
Starlight Princess 1000 free spins
Four or more Scatters trigger the bonus round. The round starts with 15 free spins, and the triggering scatters pay by themselves as well: 3x, 5x or 100x the bet for 4, 5 or 6 of them. If 3 or more scatter symbols land during the round, +5 free spins are added.
Inside the round the multipliers stop being one-off events. When a multiplier symbol hits and the spin results in a win, its value is added to the global multiplier, and the collected multipliers are added to the feature's total winning value. The counter grows only on winning spins, so a long round with few wins can still finish small.

Ante bet and bonus buy
Two optional settings exist in the game's design. With the ante bet active, stakes increase by 25% while the chance of triggering free spins doubles. With the ante bet switched off, the round can be bought for 100x the bet, with a published return of 96.49% for that mode. The UK operator 7bet lists Buy Bonus for this game as not available, so there the bonus is reached through Scatters only.
RTP and volatility in plain terms
The RTP is 96.50% on the provider's game page, and the same default applies when betting normally or using the ante bet. Operators may run a different configuration, so treat the figure inside the game's information panel at your casino as the final word. RTP is an average over a very large number of spins; it says nothing about how one session will go.
High volatility means results are spread unevenly: long runs of spins that return little, and occasional rounds that return a lot. The 15,000x cap is the most the game will pay, not an indication of what to expect. Each spin is random and independent, and no choice of stake, time of day or pattern of play alters the odds.
The original and the 1000 version side by side
Two differences are documented. The original Starlight Princess has a top multiplier of x500 and a win cap of 5,000x the bet; the 1000 version has x1,000 and 15,000x. Everything else - the panel, the 8-symbol rule, the tumbles, the 15 free spins - is described as the same. Since the two titles share their artwork, read the name on the loading screen before comparing any number you have seen elsewhere.
What we like
- The provider states the RTP on its own game page
- A simple win rule: 8 or more identical symbols anywhere
- The official demo shows both the base game and the bonus round
- Multipliers follow one clear rule: added up, then applied to the total win
What to keep in mind
- High volatility: long stretches with small or no returns
- No stake limits in pounds in the reliable sources
- Some operator and affiliate pages describe the game inaccurately
- Hard to tell apart from the original in a casino lobby
Who should try it
Players who already like the original and want the same game with a higher ceiling will feel at home. Anyone looking for steady, frequent returns will not: that is not what a high volatility slot does. Try the demo first, and if you decide to play with money, fix a budget in advance and treat it as the cost of an evening's entertainment.
Verdict
Starlight Princess 1000 scores well on our methodology. The provider publishes the return, the demo is free, and the rules are short enough to learn in a minute. It loses marks for the information around it: stake limits in pounds are not reliably published, and several pages that rank for this title describe a different game altogether. Judged as a product, it is an honest, high volatility remake - and its figures are characteristics, not predictions.
